How to add related people and roles to a client
Link family members, signatories, or employers so their information flows to forms and can be reused across matters.
When to complete this task
Any time dependent or business relationships matter to a case.
Basic steps
- Client Profile → Members → Link Member
- Select an existing contact or create a new one
- Set the relationship and save
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Open the Client Profile
Step 2: Click Members → Link Member
- Members is located on the righthand rail after opening the client profile
- Link Member is located at the top left of the Members screen
Step 3: Search for an existing contact or click Create Contact
Step 4: Choose the Relationship (e.g., Spouse, Child, Employer, Signatory)

Helpful hints
- Don’t assign client numbers to non-clients
- Linked members enable “copy from” shortcuts (e.g., addresses)
